Nearly 2000 attendees took a Walk on Walhalla yesterday, maybe one of the top two largest tours in the 27 year history! Thank you to everyone that made it happen, not the least of which were our homeowners who outdid themselves in getting their beautiful homes ready.
We had over 100 volunteers who deserve big kudos. Thank you!!! We would not have been able to get all 2000 attendees through the homes without the experienced and steady management of our house captains. What a huge job they accomplished in five hours.
And a special thanks, as well, to all of our sponsors - SHE Realty and Columbus Handyman as our lead sponsors. They set the pace for a record fundraising year. All of the proceeds will benefit the Clintonville Community Fund and be re-invested directly back into Clintonville.
It was a great year also thanks to the steering committee, including Abby Rosenberger, Kari Kittrell, Marisa Martin, Joni Schalgenhauf and Kathy Kowalski. The endless hours of logistics and coordination - not to mention the meeting of many deadlines - was a huge undertaking. Thank you to all!
Next year’s tour will be featured around Northmoor / Park of Roses neighborhood. If you’d like to offer your home or volunteer, please let us know. It was a great year and experience and I’ll stay involved and help spread the leadership roles around!
Kudos to Clintonville! We welcomed neighbors from near and far, stayed off another wind storm, and enjoyed one of the most beautiful tours in recent memory.
With appreciation,
Ruth Milligan

From a highly modern new-build, to a five-story renovated cape cod, to a brick tudor and Arts and Crafts retreat, this year’s tour will showcase something unique for every tour attendee. The homes’ common bond: a surrounding yard that is the magical Walhalla Ravine in the heart of Clintonville. Eight spectacular homes will be featured - click here for details on each home, and then click here to buy your tickets for the tour on September 13!
As with every Clintonville Homes Tour, sponsors play a key role in helping to allow the tour to take place. This year is no different, except for the generosity of not one but two lead sponsors: The Columbus Handyman and SHE Realtors. We wanted to call out special kudos to John Hahn and Wendy Hansel, respectively, of these two Clintonville-based businesses who have lent their support to the tour.
All proceeds will run through the Clintonville Community Fund ultimately benefitting projects that will be jointly identified by the homeowners on the tour and the Fund board of directors. All projects funded will be Clintonville-based or related. For a complete list of the 2009 sponsors, please click here.
Tickets to the Clintonville Homes Tour are now available online. Tickets are $12/advance and $15/ the day-of. New this year is a special preview ticket which allows attendees to start the tour early at 11am with a limited number of other guests. Click here for more information and to buy your tickets today!
The Clintonville Homes Tour Committee is seeking ideas for the beneficiary of the 2009 Tour. In the past few years, the Tour’s proceeds have benefitted the renovation of the Whetstone Recreation Center. With that project completed, new beneficiaries and ideas are being sought from the community.

A Walk on the Walhalla will take place from 1pm - 6pm on Sunday, September 13. Seven spectacular homes have been secured while additional homes are being reviewed. If you know of a home to be considered, please email Susan Weil (susan@ milligancommunications.com).
